Julia Foree a singer, songwriter, poet and producer is poised to expand the boundaries of Praise & Worship and with her anointed voice and uplifting lyrics. Drawing inspiration from such diverse influences as Ce Ce Winans, Yolanda Adams and Tramaine Hawkins, she blends her heartfelt delivery with a positive message rooted firmly in her faith.

Born and raised in Louisville, KY, Julia is the oldest of three daughters born in a Christian family that instilled in her, from an early age, the importance of a Christ-centered life. She is boldly committed to God, family and ministry. Julia joined the church youth choir at 9, singing, directing choirs and leading the praise and worship teams. The “Wake Up with Joy” television broadcast often featured Julia singing throughout the air waves in the Louisville Metropolitan area.

Since 2004 with her debut project “In Your Presence”, Julia has appeared on The Bobby Jones Presents New Artist Showcase and on the platform with notables such as Dr. Jackie McCullough, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Bishop Noel Jones, Bishop Tudor Bismarck. On October 2nd, 2004 people gathered at Quinn Chapel AME Church in Louisville, KY for some good foot stomping, hand clapping church lead by the anointed voice of Julia Foree and some of her friends lifted in song at a concert themed "Hymns for Him". "Hymns for Him" was birthed out of a desire to worship God through gospel hymns sang like you heard them on Sunday mornings so long ago. It was also an opportunity for the younger generation to hear these songs of the church for the first time. In December 2004 and 2005, Julia toured as a featured artist throughout Switzerland with the Voices of Gospel Concert Series as well as sang in all regions of the US as well as the Caribbean. Julia is a member of the Creations Prison Ministry team blessing those incarcerated with the message of God’s Love, Salvation and Healing. Julia received her formal education from Bellarmine University, University of Kentucky, Spalding University and Grace Bible College where she has earned a B.A. in Accounting, two Masters Degrees in Information Science and a doctorate in Religious Education respectively.

Julia writes about the importance of a deeper relationship with God through time spent in His Presence. Against the backdrop of a sound that is both pure and straight from the heart, she is sure to touch the lives of her audience with a beautifully-delivered, anointed message too rarely heard in today’s music scene.
