These live EP is a compilation of Juliana's sultry rock/folk performances in New York City between 2006 and 2008. "Beginnings" describes just that: the beginning stretch of musical territory Juliana Riccardi has marched on from age 21. Produced simplistically and organically, "Beginnings" leaves room for listening to melody and lyric.
Songs like "Walking", moves in a melancholy stream then into bursts of declaration, where in the end the narrator, still unresolved, can only hope she will one day walk out of the vicious cycle of solitary.
"Sound Of You", offers playful and sultry imagery about a driven and sexy character in pursuit for another.
