A Glimpse into an accomplished genre jumper

I just received Glimpses the day before yesterday. It is both impressive and enjoyable. I am especially impressed with the diversity of genre and the fine musicianship and production throughout. It reminds me, by turns, of bands like Police, Beach Boys, and Traffic. This is not to imply that Shome is lacking in creativity, however; some songs may suggest the flavor of other bands, but each song is distinctive and unique. It's a disc that I'll be listening to often!
