Juliet Wright has a unique voice in a sea of nothingness & sameness.
author: Cathy B
Juliet Wright's voice is unique, tuneful, melodious, cabaret-like, yet light operatic...I love listening to her and, thank the gods!, music and lyrics that are listenable and memorable and makes you want to sing alongside of her. Thank you Miss Wright!! With gratitude! Cathy B

I listened and the music touched me.

I liked the guileless intimacy of the songs and the recordings. I was touched by the bare bones, true-life-inspired honesty. Thank you.

Beautiful voice, insightful lyrics, great songs!
author: Nicole
Juliet Wright has that rare combination of a wide vocal range, beautiful vocal quality, and thought-provoking, catchy songs. From the in-your-face truth of "Beloved" and the brave determination in "New Moon Tonight" to the melancholy "Will You Ever Tell" and the lost innocence of "Cinderella's Lies," Wright's lyrics ring true as her soaring vocals put the message across. Whether it's personal experience or biting social commentary, these songs make you think and feel--a rarity in today's musical climate.

"Beloved" is loved!
author: Joe G.
It finally came in the mail yesterday. I wanted to wait until I got my own copy to announce the arrival of the new CD on my blog. It's by one of the members of my Meeting: Juliet Wright's "Beloved".
Honestly? I thought it was going to be a soft-ballad oriented affair: lots of acoustics and happy lyrics about love, light, and Spirit.
So much for what I knew about Juliet's talents. My apologies, Juliet; I guess I have my stereotypes of what kind of music Quakers sing (I've been to too many Friend General Conference Gatherings, I guess! :)). I'm very happy to be wrong!
It's rock, pop, and melodic. Themes are at times sad, forlorn, yet always with an underlying sense of hope, warmth, faith.
Juliet did it all: the writing - both music & lyrics, and performed all the instrumentation. Wow!
One of my favorite lines (already, and it's only the first listen-through) is from the opening song of the CD:
"I am
Strong
Independent
Faithful
Confident
Hopeful
Loving
Searching
Ruthless
Convicted
Fed up
A selfish bitch
I am His one and only
I am Beloved, I am Beloved" That says it all about the music and about this CD!
