Jump for Joy Music is Wiley and Debbie Rankin, plus their wonderful musical friends. Wiley performs at over 200 children's shows a year where his infectious music and sense of humor draw in kids of all ages. He has been performing since he was 9 years old! Jump for Joy Music does children's shows in California, throughout the USA and England. Wiley is a talented singer and multi-instrumentalist who is classically trained on flute and piccolo. He also is accomplished on harmonica, guitar and saxophone. He has played his blues harmonica with the Yardbirds, the legendary rock group, and with jazz great Les Paul. He played Carnegie Hall in 2004!
Debbie has a gentle, lovely singing voice. She also plays key boards. The opportunity to sing with Les Paul at the Iridium Club on Broadway in New York City has been a highlight for her. She and Wiley have performed twice with Les, most recently in October, 2007.
"Singing! Singing!" is Jump for Joy Music's first children's CD. Come join us on a "merry go round" of songs! Every song is a sing a long, in styles that include the blues, rock, story-telling and lullabye. Wiley and Debbie have performed on a number of other artists' CDs. Wiggle, giggle & sing!

Singing! Singing! is my 4 year old daughter's favorite CD. It gets her to wiggle, giggle & sing. She frequently requests certain songs and always sings along. If we're listening in our house she's dancing all around the room, and if we're listening in the car she's wiggling in her seat (except for the quieter songs where she sings very seriously)! This is one of the few kid's CDs that I don't mind listening to over and over again since it has a variety of genres in it and so much musical talent!

Great for kids and parents.

This CD is great because it uses a lot of different musical styles, which keeps it interesting for the parents, but it still appeals to young ones. For instance, the second track (Jump For Joy) reminds me of the The B52s, a band I listened to when I was in college. But there are also calmer songs like You Are You (track 5), where my son does the sign language (that Wiley taught the kids) to go along with the words.

This CD didn't make me want to kill myself when I listened to it.

I've been listening to CDs for babies and young ones for the child of my neice, who is an artist, and her husband, who is a muscian. I thougth I was going to have a nervous breakdown until I found this one. I know if the songs and lyrics drove me insane, that Gus, the wee one, might like them a lot but that his parents might just want to kill me the next time I stopped by for a visit. Since I truly like my neice, her husband and their babe I wanted to avoid my early demise if at all possible. This CD is, so far, the only one I have heard that didn't make me want to leap from the roof of a very tall building. I actually like it a lot. I also like the fact that there is an instrumental version of every sung song on the CD. Now I no longer have to fear for my life the next time I visit the folks I am giving it to. Thank you for producing a CD that is entertaining for us all.
