Album Notes

"Junior P" started out as Patrick Robinson 21 years ago in beautiful St.Croix, Virgin Islands. Music has been in his blood and soul since the beginning; starting out with piano lessons at age four, then progressed into learning the drums and bass. He decided that becoming a professional reggae artist would be his destiny.
At age fifteen, he started producing and making beats. The next step happened after high school, he went to Orlando, FL to study at the premier Recording arts school "FullSail" which he completed his associates degree in Recording Arts. He then travel back to Virgin Islands to complete his debut album "Give Thanks" at the end of 2004.
He then embarked on a ten day west coast tour that showcased V.I. stars Dezarie and Ikahba. It was an invaluable experience that just enforced his desire to continue his dream. His cd continues to climb the charts in the V.I. and he look forward to continued growth and success globally.

Excellent Album

“Give Thanks” is the solid debut of Virgin Islands reggae singer/producer Patrick “Junior P” Robinson. The entire album was written, mixed, recorded, and executive produced by the 21 year old Full Sail graduate, with guitar instrumentals provided by Ron Benjamin and Edmund Filleteau of Midnite. The album opens with the inspirational first single “Give Thanks”, showcasing his signature soulful voice over a one-drop riddim. His vocal versatility is a sonic marvel. From smooth falsetto crooning on love tunes: “pack up” and “love”, to dancehall chants on the funky “sweet lady” and “listen up”. Topics vary from black social consciousness and antiviolence, to romantic heartbreak, and spiritual reverence for the creator. On “Get wise”; Junior P demonstrates his calypso roots with solid hip-hop cadence (delivery). Overall, “ Give thanks” is an excellent album that transitions smoothly without fillers. It’s truly reggae essential and a sure sign of great things to come from this multitalented artist. If you enjoyed Pressure and Niyorah’s debuts, definitely add this one to your collection.

CD....Soulful....pure talent. MY favorite is Give thanks, your parents was the ones that put up with your loud music in their house, so definitely give thanks. I dont know what to say other than....Where is my rest CDs you promise me? Another song, Pack up, let people hear the real voice of Patrick and adds a taste of Crucian. Other favorite...So Good and Love...It reminds of the old Patrick....I felt those..definitely. Others favorites, praises and Real Love. You are truly gifted and I will definitely buy your album. God, I know you could do it. This is real, Tru Vibes!
