Album Notes

PK’s (Preacher Kids) from the San Francisco Bay Area, Tamar, Joanna, Rebecca, are taking the gospel music scene by storm, particularly young people, as they inspire and encourage them with the message of Jesus Christ. In 2003 they were voted best Ensemble Group by the Bay Area Gospel Academy Awards. Familiar faces to the Bay Area gospel theatre scene as well, they have appeared in several plays, most recently featured in the play “Tic Toc”.

Their debut release “It Still Remains” contains 10 songs, all original material ranging in variety and style that will find favor with Contemporary Christian, Gospel, and Praise & Worship music listeners. The music and vocal arrangements will capture the attention of young people of all cultures and backgrounds. The cross-culture appeal of this project is evident in the selection (Jesus Is Coming Soon) in which they transcend language barriers by singing portions of the song in Spanish, with guest percussionist Juan Escovedo (brother of Sheila E.), helping them capture a Latin flavor. Some of the other female Christian artists that come to mind when you hear Jus-B-Cuz are Mary Mary, Point of Grace, The Clark Sisters, Francesca Battistelli, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, Jaci Velasquez, Virtue, Rebecca St. James, Kari Jobe, and Out of Eden.

Coming on the heels of their CD release was their DVD release “Live At the San Francisco Christian Center”. This DVD captures the ministry of Jus-B-Cuz “live”, accompanied by a live band with special guest musicians, praise dancers, and dramatic presentations. Hosted by radio station KDYA’s Marshalen Martin, and SGN “The Light’s K.D. Bowe, it was a night of thanksgiving, praise, and worship as they engaged a crowd of 1500 in this worship experience.

Jus-B-Cuz strives to create music that emphasizes the importance of knowing who God is, and trusting in His word. This is evident in their music as each selection is laced with the Word of God. They are reaching the masses with the message of Jesus Christ.
