Fantastic voice and overall an enjoyable album.

The featured tracks are excellent but I don't think the rest of the album is quite as good although everything apart from the plodding 'Within Your Fire' is very listenable. Would like to hear more of her fantastic voice with minimal piano/guitar backing.

Amazing fluidity, and harmony with a gorgeous voice to boot

I was bowled over by this CD. People had been buzzing about it, and I was thrilled at how it met my expectations. Her compositions take the listener somewhere; they're predictable enough to be comforting, and have enough surprise moves to keep us interested. The harmonies are gorgeous and original, and I can't truthfully compare this music to any other that I've heard.

Great debut release can't wait for more from this wonderful artist!

Joanne's voice is beautiful. It's clear tone reminds me of Joni Mitchell, while her song construction is similar to Sarah McLachlan. This CD explores many musical genres. From jazz, to progressive rock to folk. From the opening track "Never Be The Same" till the last track "Happy Birthday" Joanne takes you on a personal as well as musical journey exploring the trials and tribulations of love and loss. All captured with that wonderful melodic voice and piano playing. My favorite tracks are: Never Be The Same, Meet You There, Intersection and Breathing Under Water. Almost every song on this CD is my favorite! If you're looking for songs that are similar in style to Joni Mitchell by this CD! it's fabulous!
