Orgasms and Atom Bombs is Just B's 7th full length album, and definitely the most exciting and emotionally charged CD yet. The production is raw, clean, and tough - while the music itself is melodic, and darkly elegant. The album features solid drumming with a groovy feel, slinky bass lines, and strange raw guitar performances. Lyrical subject matter ranges from modern war/fear issues (Apocalypse Soon), to unconditional romantic love and forgiveness (She Forgive Me, Kiss Me), to deep dark psychological truths (Enemy). All of this, plus it'll move your hips, and make you wanna sing along.
Justin Burgess (Just B) lives in a farmhouse in Southern Ontario. He spends most of his time writing, performing, recording, and teaching music. In the past few years, Justin has also produced some very rootsy folk and rock albums - most notably Richard Knechtal's Carrot, and Mark Ebel and Friends - both recorded at his home studio. As a hobby, Justin likes to help out his Dad in the piano buisness, re-stringing grands, and tuning by ear.
"I come from a live performance background, so as a producer I like to keep the music sounding as realistic as possible. I find it's punchiest that way. To achieve this I rehearse each part until it can be performed straight through in one go. A REAL performance - not something artificially stuck together with editing software. I don't use corrective tools like quantizers and pitch correction - to me "perfect" is not perfect at all - it's boring and inhuman. Music is an emotional language, NOT an intellectual exersize or a theoretical formula.

Just B has been living and breathing music since he first entered the world hollering at full volume. His career began as a 9 year old "ringer" playing drums for prize money in music festivals. In high school, Just B started forming bands in order to play for the local bars for girls and cash. This continued all through university and lead to summer touring with Uncle Wiggly - 5 nights a week, all season long. Since going pro, Just B has performed all over Canada both live, and on CD's with dozens of bands including; Uncle Wiggly (Drums and Vocals), Big on Venus (Bass and Vocals), Popjoy (Bass and Vocals), and Thundermug (Drums and Vocals - then Bass on Vocals) - Not to mention fronting his own band on the guitar.
Just B recorded his first solo album, "Grow", in 1998, the same year he recorded "Bang the Love Drum" with Thundermug. Taking the plunge into home-based recording, Just B co-produced and co-wrote the first Big On Venus EP, followed by the infamous Popjoy cover CD.
Three years ago, Just B left the road to settle in a farmhouse in his small hometown of Hanover, Ontario for a while. He spends his time writing and recording rock albums in his home studio, producing CD's for his favorite local talents (Richard Knechtel, Mark Ebel), teaching kids how to rock out, playing charity gigs, and chopping firewood with great enthusiasm

I LOVED this album. If you hate the war, big corporations and bullies, you'll love it too. Big gritty guitars, cutting lyrics, ass shakin grooves. Number 1 spot in my player. I'm gettin more of this!!
