Album Notes

Justin Clayton is a British singer/songwriter, and previously a guitarist for various artists of note.

His debut solo album 'Limb' was released in 2000 by LA based indie label Ultimatum Records, to much critical acclaim in the indie rags, and his first single "Drag" charted top 10 on various underground radio playlists around the USA. He toured the US in support of the album with his band, opening for acts such as Sebadoh, Goo Goo Dolls, and Beth Hart.

The album was recorded in Sweden in the dead of winter, at The Blue Room studios, produced by Marty Willson Piper of the band The Church, along with Justin. Limb was never released outside of the US, though a single - "Collide" from the album, was released in the UK in 2002.
In 2005 Limb has been re-issued on his own imprint.

SOME PRESS QUOTES:

" ...a stunning debut solo effort...Limb is a wonder." -WALL OF SOUND

"...it would be a far better world were there more beautiful little pop albums like this. This is the tasteful, understated album David Bowie was trying to make with hours..." -NEW YORK PRESS

"One of the best independent albums I've heard this year." -MUSIC BIZ

"...if you could hear the slow, numbing, post-spike euphoria that overtakes a smack addict, it might just sound something like Limb." -CMJ NEW MUSIC REPORT

"...a mellow, hypnotic oasis. Sparkling arpeggios, gorgeous acoustic timbres, and chimey electric tones abound...the blending of acoustic and electric guitars is stellar..." -GUITAR PLAYER

"...demonstrates a Radioheady penchant for deadly serious melodrama...a bittersweet, guitar-soaked tonic of glam, folk and classic rock elements..." -PHILIDELPHIA WEEKLY

"We really believe in the new Justin Clayton album, so if you haven't given Limb a spin, please do so" -ALBUM NETWORK
