Album Notes

Justin Jude will keep you alive. His rootsy, unpretentious folk-pop lifts you up, gets you gettin' down, and sends you out the door ready to save the souls of every man, woman, child and dog on the planet.

Described by one reviewer as "Pete Yorn meets Pete Seeger," Justin combines soulful folk songwriting with kick-ass pop-rock flavors. He is known for his acrobatic voice, huge range and inventive guitar work. Often compared to Martin Sexton, David Gray and Damien Rice, Justin weaves a wide scope of musical styles into each powerful story he tells, creating a musical fabric that is often unexpected -- and often devastating.

His 2005 album, “It’s Love It’s Love It’s Love,” has been a huge self-released success, taking off in online sales and played on both web and college radio. His sophomore effort, produced by Rob Stroup (Scott Fisher, The Imprints) and due out in summer 2007, takes his acoustic strengths to whole new worlds of R&B, roots, soul and flat-out rock. The album release will be followed with a west coast tour in the fall and an east coast swing in 2008.

Classically trained on piano and voice as a child, Justin cut his ears on the classic rock of the '60s and '70s. In college in New England he found a love for the acoustic guitar and for songwriting. Turning out a huge repertoire of songs in a short time, he earned a reputation as a prolific writer and a dazzling live performer.

Having shared the stage with established touring acts like Lisa Loeb and Lucy Kaplansky, lately Justin has focused on staying close to home in the Northwest, sharing shows with such acts as Scott Fisher, Liv Warfield, The Dimes, Garth Michael McDermott, Chris Robley and Breanna Paletta of Rye Hollow.
