REVIEWS

Love the sound - hear the message - fell the commitment to the faith.
author: Bernhard Kolbe
I have eclectic tastes, and appreciate folk music when the voice is well suited to the music. I find the sentiments faithful and real to the gospel of grace. Being a liberal with deep mystical leanings and love of Mary, the saints, and the sacraments, this CD nourishes the personal ties to the devine while reminding the christian about service.

Started out strange but the rest was upbeat and powerful
author: Oksana Willower
The CD started out a little strange but got my attention. I wasn't sure if I was listening to a chant or a folk song but it made me curious enough to want to listen more. I wasn't disappointed. The music was inspirational and upbeat and had so many wonderful and powerful messages. Thanks to my friend for giving it as a gift, I will now pass it along!

Singing in my car
author: Maria Gallos
Justin's CD has been a great encouragement to me, both in my ministry and in my spiritual life. The great part is that you can really get into the music, and even sing along if you like! I was recently singing along to the song "Lovers of Truth" in my car with the windows rolled down. I pulled up to a stop light and was belting out the verse that goes "Hey, you, always dreamed of painting icons..." The passenger in the pick-up truck next to me kind of leaned out the window and turned around to look at me. Not sure if he thought I was talking to him, thought I was crazy, or if he was enjoying the music, but I guess the bottom line is that something got his attention - which is part of the spirit of the song. This whole CD will grab your attention, not only with it's driving melodies, but also with the contemplative "small, still" songs. Congratulations to Justin on this great CD, and I hope we get to hear more of his inspired work!

A word of gratitude for the CD “confessing between the lines”
author: Monks of New Skete
I’d like to send you a word of gratitude for the CD “confessing between the lines”... It’s been making the rounds here at the monastery. It’s not a genre I normally listen to, but I must say I was engaged from the first cut. I really liked it. The intricate blend of vocal and instrumental with spiritual sophistication in the lyrics is very appealing and refreshingly inspiring. I was especially moved by the last piece. I admit a prejudice for Georgian folk and sacred music, so the subtlety of its suggestion is a masterful touch. God bless you in your work ... it’s a hit at New Skete. In the love of Christ, Monks of New Skete
