Album Notes
A Washington D.C. area native, Justin Trawick's music is an upbeat, foot-tapping experience with sounds that range from bluegrass to acoustic hip hop. Recently self-released in 2007, his debut album "How To Build A Life With A Lemonade Stand" is a live studio recording that he did with his band in Falls Church, VA in August of 2006. Instrumentation for the album includes acoustic guitar, harmonica, piano, upright bass, drums, cello, and vocals. Songs like "Life" and "Blind Man" show Justin's funky fast talking hip hop side that make you think of G. Love & Special Sauce or Jason Mraz. Slower, more emotional songs like "To New Hampshire", "Sunshine" and the solo acoustic "Without You" gives more of the singer/songwriter approach that of Ryan Adams or David Gray.

This CD is a must have. You might want to get two copies because you will probably wear out the first one. enjoy!

What a wonderful CD!
I had listened to Justin's music online for awhile, and I finally saw him live and was very pleased to see he had his new CD for sale, and I have to say it has not been out of my CD player since. It's great music to listen to while driving down the road. I also have the CD on my computer so I can listen to it no matter where I am and expose new people to it! Justin Trawick's CD: How To Build A Life With a Lemonade Stand is wonderful, and I highly recommend it!!

you're life is less than w/o this album-seriously.
I wanted to be eloquent and in-depth w/this review but instead I decided to just be short and honest. This album breathes new life into the 'singer/songwriter w/a guitar' genre. I found out about Justin Trawick and his group through the wonder that is myspace and my life is better because of it. Justin's songwriting abilities are amazing w/lyrics that are reflective, relative and amusing; accompanied by charmingly simple melodies. His talents, combined w/the fellow musical marvels of the group, truly give this album a unique and refreshing sound--all the while securing their place in "urban folk rock."

Original and Catchy
Very Impressive sound without studio

Great stuff. A little bit like G-Love but with a very original sound
