Album Notes

Jack Wyles is "Just_Seein_Whats_Up". He studied with the late legendary bassist and composer Jaco Pastorius, and was leader and executive producer of the Oakland,CA band " In The Pocket!",whose C.D. was put into initial nomination for a Grammy in 1993 for Best New Jazz-Fusion Instrumental Group. His new CD is called MERRY MADNESS. Once again, he blends assorted rhythms and sounds with the ever present improvisational spirit of jazz. This CD is unique in that it is a totally solo effort of all original music. Jack incorporated the use of samples , loops, and special effects into a joyful experimental journey through jazz, drum 'n bass, electronica, reggae, and world music. He supplied the sax and bass, as well as the midi keyboards, production and engineering . "I felt a bit like a mad scientist in his lab as I tried to push the envelope of these tunes," says Jack,"But what a good time!" MERRY MADNESS indeed.
