Album Notes

POWER is a rockin' collection of labor songs, old and new -- this CD includes five new originals by the Bones of Contention. Check out Joe Hill's Last Will -- the verbatim last will and testament of labor organizer, Joe Hill -- yep, the same one Joan Baez sang about at Woodstock! The Bones put Joe Hill's will to a new rock arrangement.

REVIEWS

Good rockin' with a touch of melncholia
author: Carl M. Nielsen
This is wonderfull stuff! A thruly rocking sound with a fine combination of oldfashioned and modern rock-styles. Driving rhythm and boiling along, but with a moody atmospheare of longing, melancholia and a touch of sadness. Not depressing, just touching, going right to the heart. But also with some solid good time rockers among the tracks.A broad variation in the songs, but all fitting together. This must be what many are searching for: wellworking, absolute rock music, not too traditional, not too much the latest trend. Somewhere in between. Sounding good and honest.
