Album Notes

Singer/songwriter Jon Waterman writes and performs lyrical contemporary folk songs. His original songs include personal expressions, storytelling ballads and engaging pop songs, sometimes all rolled into one. He has a distinct overall sound that is influenced by Celtic Folk, Blues, Alternative Country, and even a little early Jazz.

Jon first started playing guitar and writing songs when he was in high school in Phoenix, Arizona. Some years later, in Flagstaff, Arizona, he picked up the 12 string guitar that has been his constant companion ever since.

Jon currently lives in Swampscott, Massachusetts and performs regularly at clubs and coffeehouses throughout the Boston area and beyond. In 2001 gave his first international performance at the Jacob's Ladder Folk Festival on the Sea of Galilee. His CD titled, 'Taking the Fall' has 12 original songs and an impressive list of guest artists that include Dave Mattacks, Raymond Gonzalez,
Susan Levine, Brian Maes and many others. 'Taking the Fall' was released in October of 2003 at a well attended and festive performance at the King Hooper Mansion in Marblehead.

"Jon Waterman possesses a truly fine poetic gift" -Raymond Gonzalez, Singer/songwriter
