Album Notes

John W. Harden, born in Dayton, Ohio, resides in Clayton, Ohio, has been involved in music most of his life. Coming from a strong musical family, he became the first drummer at the First Baptist Church Ridgewood Heights. John was the drummer on the album entitled Lord I'll Go by the FBC Combine Choirs when he was only about twelve years old.

At a young age, John started recording and performing professionally on a national level. With his musical gift from God, he shared the stage with such greats like the Hawkins family, Denise Williams, Rance Allen group, Grammy Award winner Dr. Charles Fold, Minister Leroy Pirtle group, the Commodores, Lakeside, the Ohio Players, Tyrese,and Kirk Whalum just to name a few. He was a member of several major groups that included Faze-O, Dayton, and the Harden Brothers. With the assistance of his brother Dr. Stephen A. Harden, John started the record label HB and released the smash single entitled Deep Inside Of You in 1981.Since then, there has been many other artists produced on the HB Records label.December 2006 Deep Inside of You was re-issued on a CD compilation on ActiveForce Records out of France. Dr. Stephen A. Harden is the featured musician on the CD I Want To Be Worthy.

Television appearances include Gospel showcase with Sammy Stevens, the Word Network,the CW Network,WDTN Dayton NBC, BET Gospel Bobby Jones Gospel Presents... where John performed for Vickie Winans and many other great artists. John's music has been performed on TBN, web radio, satellite TV/radio and cable. His many concert/conference appearances have been with national personalities, ministers, and Gospel recording artists.

John W. Harden's music has been featured in a TV program called Justice For All? with Ray Suarez(Senior correspondent NewsHour with Jim Lehrer) which premiered March 21, 2006 on Thinktv 14/16 PBS. On June 23, 2007 Justice For All? program produced by ThinkTV PBS won the Emmy in the Interview/Discussion category - John composed the original music for this Emmy Award winning program. John has composed theme music for WRCX TV40 Sports Thursday Night Tip-Off BFC,Time Warner Cable 23, videos and short films.

John is a recipient of the 2008-2009 ASCAPlus Award New York, NY - this is his 14th Popular music award to date.He has also received recognition in Playback magazine which is distributed world-wide by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
