After studying under the repressive bonds of a classical Conservatory of Music, this Northern California native packed her heart and soul and everything else she owned into a truck bound for Los Angeles and the freedom it offered. Kacee recorded her debut CD, SEEING RED, in 1996 and quickly found herself immersed in the vast talent pool of L.A., working side by side with players she once admired from a distance equivalent to the space between any given stage and her seat in the venue.

In the summer of 2001, Kacee was cast in the role of a lifetime: playing the lead in the extreme rock musical, "LOVE, JANIS," a journey into the mind and music of the legendary Janis Joplin. In early 2002, she was asked to join BIG BROTHER & THE HOLDING CO., Janis Joplin's original San Francisco-based band, as their lead vocalist. She spent the next few years performing for packed venues full of screaming fans, carving out a name for herself, and solidifying her reputation as a raw and energetic power-house. She continues to work with BBHC and the various casts of "Love, Janis" as her schedule permits.

2005 once again brought amazing change for Kacee. She joined forces with the legendary JOE COCKER as a background singer on his Heart & Soul world tour. She continued in that capacity through the recent Hymn For My Soul world tour, which ended in early 2008.

Kacee's sophomore effort, MAMA CAME TO SING, had to be squeezed into the gaps and seams of a busy touring life. Teaming up with close friends Tom Lilly (producer) and Jon Nichols (both of the Beth Hart Band) proved to be the magical combination necessary to bring the project to fruition. Mama is a blend of hard-hitting rock, funky folk, groovy blues, and moody pop. It is the culmination of lonely days spent on the road and crazy nights spent writing in the studio, and delivers the raw vocals and powerful lyrics which are the cornerstone of Kacee's success as a songwriter.

CURRENT NEWS: Kacee is currently having the time of her life on the "Complices" World Tour with LUIS MIGUEL, which began in early September 2008 and runs through the summer of 2009. If you have an opportunity to see the show, do it! You will not be disappointed.

This CD is a demo of the sum of Kacee's chops. There's every kind of Rock and Roll on those tracks. I am old (64) and like it eclectic. She does it all, and with journeyman expertise. I didn't want to kill myself or bang my head, but I loved every note!

PURCHASE A SIX-PACK OF THIS CD !!!!
author: Janet (Janis) in KC
As a child of rock n’ roll, decades removed from childhood, I am once again completely immersed in music. This music becomes more a part of my bloodstream each time I listen. Kacee’s newest release Mama Came To Sing is an incredibly refreshing body of work. Her voice ranges from ethereal to rip you from your roots, stand on your chair screaming, freeing rock n’ roll. Come along for the ride. Do not look back. Slip into the core of Kacee’s music, a jet-propelled tube train racing through the depths and colors of all emotion, from purple so deep it leaves goose bumps to white hot rocking screams. My Best Addiction will send you shopping for new speakers and Whisper My Name will leave you doing just that. The entire journey of this release is such a joy. In Mama Came To Sing, the quality of production, the depth, the purity, and the spirit of Kacee will leave you shaking your head like only the truly good stuff can. Every cut has the strength to stand on its own. This music needs to be heard. I suggest a CD six-pack when purchasing Mama Came To Sing.
