Had not heard of any of this until a truck driver and his wife asked me to find it for them. Of course, I had to buy one for me and it is great. Looking forward to getting more of her CD's. She can sing great sounding blues also and has that deep feeling to her music when she sings. Keep up the great work.

The Sweet Potato Queens' musical Princess

I have to admit on the outset that I didn't originally get this CD from CDBaby (shame on me I guess) but in my defense, I didn't even KNOW about CDBaby when my wife stumbled across this CD in a shop in Tallahassee, Florida. Fact it, my wife has a unique ability of finding music that I really enjoy that I otherwise wouldn't have found. This CD is an example of that. My wife was already familiar with and a fan of Jill Connor Browne's "Sweet Potato Queen" series of books so when she spotted this CD, she thought I would enjoy the humourous nature of the songs. I collect novelty music in general and went ahead and bought this CD. Frankly, as soon as I heard the CD all the way through I was seriously hooked on Kacey Jones' music. Granted, the songs on this CD are for the most part, quite silly but she can belt a tune like few can. And when I found that CDBaby had her other CD's for sale, I bought `em (reviews for those elsewhere on CDBaby). Don't know what a Sweet Potato Queen is? By the time you hear "I Wanna Be A Sweet Potato Queen" and "The SPQ Parade Anthem" you'll have a pretty good idea. Overall this is a fun album for the Sweet Potato Queen in your life. I highly recommend listening to this after a hard day to make it much better. Fantastic CD overall.
