notes
Kacey Jones has been adopted and embraced by The Sweet Potato Queens, The Red Hats, Garrison Keillor and 'A Prairie Home Companion', The Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour, and The Bob and Tom Show. Now, with her first foray into the world of LIVE theatre, Kacey joins forces with 'Nipples to the Wind,' a salty stage production born out of an old Southern expression meaning "chin up, chest out," also defined as "put on your big-girl panties and deal with it!"
This hilarious two-woman play introduces the audience to fourteen quirky characters including, a narcissistic suicide hotline operator, an overzealous Little League mom, and three sisters who go to confession, each telling their own version of the same bizarre event. Written by stand-up performer and playwright, Paula Coco, the play is a refreshing departure from comedy club punchlines, and instead features intelligently funny character monologues segued with the equally intelligent and funny songs of
Kacey Jones. It's a potent combination that wins over both male and female audiences.
'Nipples to the Wind' is touring nationally in performing arts centers and theatres around the country. Kacey Jones often travels with the play and opens each performance with a LIVE rendition of "How Do You Like These Babies Now?" The soundtrack CD for 'Nipples to the Wind' will be released nationally to retail stores on 4/17/07 (but YOU can get yours right now at CD Baby!)This CD features 15 tracks performed by Kacey Jones, 2 tracks written and performed by Tracy James, and 2 tracks written and performed by Deborah Liv Johnson.
