Album Notes

"Every Man I Love is Either Married, Gay, or Dead...LIVE" is Kacey Jones' first-ever LIVE solo CD. Recorded before a sold-out crowd at the legendary Bluebird Cafe' in Nashville, here's what co-producer, Vaughn Skow, has to say: "I've recorded many LIVE albums, but never one like this. No words can adquately describe the manner in which Kacey dominated the room that night. It was truly electric and proves, once again, that a great entertainer needs no more than an acoustic guitar and a microphone to produce magic."

A favorite guest of Garrison Keillor and "A Prairie Home Companion," Kacey is also the Official Songstress of The Sweet Potato Queens, an organization born out of five best-selling books by author, Jill Conner Browne, whose new book, "The Sweet Potato Queens' Field Guide to Men or Every Man I Love is Either Married, Gay, or Dead" borrows its sub-title from Kacey's title track.

People Magazine, USA Today, Billboard Magazine, Music Connection and Country Weekly all agree...with KACEY JONES there's a lot to laugh about.

There is no comparison for Kacey Jones

The title of the CD is a tip off that men are a focal point of quite a bit of the humor on this CD. There is gentleness to the jabs that fall on the male ego but Jones’ edge cuts both ways. Her rapier finds its mark in the swath of female insecurities and foibles about men with the same precise and easy sense of fun she uses to skewer men. Tracks like Why Can’t They Send ‘Em All and Waitin’ For The Guy to Die are as good hearted as they are good natured fun
