Album Notes

Austin singer/songwriter Kacy Crowley is back with her third independent release, Cave. Produced by Billy Harvey (Steve Poltz, Bob Schneider), Cave is an intimate yet complex collection of songs that feels more like a first record than a third. With guest spots from Kevin Lovejoy and The Tosca String Quartet, this is a breathier, less rebellious Kacy. Still, there is a sense of humor and an occasional eyebrow raising in the lyrics. The release of this cd follows a two year period of personal hardship and yet doesn't have the usual anger or bitterness of a breakup album. The songs are more like finding your favorite things in a pile of aftermath.. a little sad, a little sweet....

I've been a fan of Kacy's work since 1997 and her release of Anchorless. As a fan, I've gobbled up everything she's released. I feel this album is her best yet. It's emotional, raw and real. I love where her maturity as an artist is going. Can not recommend this enough.

wonderful but not simple

This is a tremendous work. The songwriting is fascinating, tells you some, but not too much, the voice is evocative, the result is, I guess as Kacy was once quoted , her music sounds like her friggin heart, buy this now, and one for a friend, Kacy is a treasure.
