Album Notes

[Commentary for this works]

When we hear this works, it becomes that the thing like "an abyss" is involving us. Sounds of KAGIMOTO Yuu make such a music.

It is very difficult to explain his music by means of language. If it dares to be told by the genre name, it will be called ambient or electronic music. To be sure, into the details of sound, a link with the IDM scene like Boards of Canada can also be taken in. But simultaneously, if it is said that his sounds are used for the ceremony and festival in an unknown region in Tibet or somewhere, it is likely that we are convinced easily. Although the word "spiritual" has also come to be used cheaply so much lately, we think that his music is the very one "spiritual" in the true meaning of "shaking the mental depth calmly."

The drone sound which continues for a long time changes little by little. And a noise, a sample and a faint melody are emerging out of the fluctuation. There is not necessarily a rhythm carried out clearly. And so is there not necessarily a catch of language. However, his music charms people because of the thing like an "abyss" which we felt vividly.

This music may be listened to, one may memorize uneasiness, one may feel nostalgia or one may feel comfort like the interior of the womb. We can regard such feelings as being closely connected with the image of "death" so that he may tell himself. As what cannot be visible, as what cannot be told, as what must have been concerned since we were received to this world, that is death or funeral. Through making sounds, KAGIMOTO Yuu would spy out the thing which exists over the image.

If it is so, he is much more thrilling than so many (pseud-)artistic electronic musicians and his music has the power of purification very much rather than pop-music which only recite "curing".
