Kaitlin is best known for her work as an actress and is thrilled to be releasing her debut CD \"Make Me Sweat\".
Kaitlin comes from a long line of theater royalty: mother, actress Shirley Knight; father, producer Gene Persson; and stepfather, playwright John R. Hopkins. Kaitlin was raised in New York and London and currently lives in New York with composer, playwright husband Jim Price.
\"Jim Price wrote all of the songs for my album and they are wonderful-I love singing them. Some of them have a real bluesy element to them, others are more pop and rock oriented, with a few heart-wrenching ballads thrown in for good measure. Our band is made up of some of the best, most exciting musicians in New York: Adam Countryman, Kevin Rice, Kyle Smith and Dave Madden(you can hear them on the cast recording of \"Bare\" as well), with guest appearances by Dave Phillips and Timothy Mueller. They are all the real deal and bring an original, exciting energy to the music. Whether you\'re stuck in traffic or going that extra mile on the treadmill, this album was designed to keep your feet moving and a smile on your face.\" --Kaitlin Hopkins

More Charming than you'll believe
author: DC
This CD is a delight! You have no idea how thankful I am that I came across it.
Each song is a story in itself and leaks with charm and enthusiasm. I was actually caught (by someone who will remain nameless ;) ) absent mindedly "moving" to a few of them, which never happens with most music I own.
Granted I don't like all the tracks, but what I do like makes this CD more than worth it.
My favs: "Coulda Shoulda Woulda" and "Wonderland of Luv".
Did I mention that the CD was a delight?! ^_^

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!

Wonderful CD! Totally loved it! Kaitlin Hopkin's voice is sweet, sad, or sexy, depending on the song -- and there's a song for every mood on this album. My favorite is Coulda Shoulda Woulda: it's fast-paced and fun and I'll never feel bad about being late again. But I like Bittersweet, too, and its reassurance that there's hope after life's upheavals. All-in-all, it's a great CD, one I'll be listening to for years to come.

more talent than we've seen in a while...
author: P - Boston, MA
Hanging around Boston and hearing what people consider the cream of singer/songwriters coming out of the wood work, this artist seems to leave them spiraling in their tracks. I'm am ecstatic to hear real talent hitting the airwaves!

Every single song is terrific.
author: Mariln Huffman
Cold Rain in New York will be the classic song about 9/11. Ms Hopkins proves she can sing anything. I loved the originality of Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda and the jazz feel of Tonight. There is a passion in her singing and like Judy Garland you just want her to keep on singing.
