Kaleber : Redemption

The missing link between the golden age era of hip hop and today's hip hop. He is the classic New York lyricist: versitile, sarcastic, witty and thought provoking with slick clever wordplay. This album is reminscent of jay-z's resonable doubt.

Album Notes

In August of 1999, THE SOURCE magazine introduced the world to a incredible Long Island lyricist in the famous "UNSIGNED HYPE" column. That lyricist is a MC by the name, KALEBER. After some words of wizdom from a conversation he had with underground and independent champion sensation "JEAN GRAE" and some industry set back's like...bad management, coward a&r's and bullshit producers, KALEBER along with then partner producer DENONE decided to go independent. Under his own label MUTINY MUSIC GROUP, KALEBER debuted with the instant street classic "REDEMPTION". He named the album that because he said everybody gave up on him at the last minute. "All my people's just turned they're backs on me. " I could of had so many deals off that UNSIGNED HYPE article but my team dropped the ball ". " My manager, after all the years that I was running with him said, that I wasn't capable of measuring up to other rap artist in the game ". Those words by his manager where all the words KALEBER needed to hear in order to prove that he was capable...and proved himself he did. From intro to outro, KALEBER slices through every track with ease going from laid back to battle rap to Twista's style of rapid fire double time rhyming to something thought provoking as well. He also left a message for his former manager and other's alike who doubted his ablility on a song called "NOTHING BUT HUSTLE". He said," How long would you wait for cat's to brake you off/if dudes ain't on the same page make em walk/from me to you/niggaz never believe what you say/but them same niggaz will always believe what you do/that's why I don't talk I say fuck it/unlike you yapping off and got nothing to back it up with/ain't no love lost/but ain't no love found between us two/so on that note mother made you mother fuck you ". If MC's like RAKIM, BIG DADDY KANE, SLICK RICK, JAY-Z AND NAS are your favorite MC's of all times, then you better make room for one more on your list. A MC by the name of KALEBER, and yeh he's capable.
