Album Notes

While most people struggle to stay in the music industry Kaley Bird had the opposite problem, she struggled to stay out! After years of trying to convince herself that she should do something more practical with her life Bird finally decided to dive fully into her passion for songwriting and performing. After her first open mic, Bird was immediately asked to headline her own night at the venue. Within the year, Kaley Bird was a regular in the local Edmonton entertainment listings and was awarded a $10,000 grant through Rawlco radio to assist in the production, mastering, and manufacturing of her debut, full-length album. Recognized for her unique sound and exceptional songwriting, Bird has often been compared to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Serena Ryder, Feist, and Kate Bush.

Whether playing a solo gig in a local café to 60 people, or rockin’ out with her band at the beer festival in front of thousands of people, Kaley Birds music seems to appeal to a very vast and diverse audience. This is due in part to the talented and eclectic company she keeps (her ridiculously talented band).

-I mostly just love to play and write music and I hope you enjoy what you hear, thank you for taking the time to listen.
