In mid-summer of 1991, some of the best singers in Memphis, Tennessee realized their dream for a performance organization for the purpose of promoting the development of the highest artistic quality in vocal music. The Memphis Vocal Arts Ensemble under the direction of Thomas Machen provides a performing forum for soloists and for both small and large chamber ensembles. The ensemble includes several former Metropolitan Opera Auditions winners, outstanding voice teachers, choral diredtors, instrumentalists and vocalists.

needs more of kallen solo; chorus and accompaniment wanting

again, four stars solely on the voice of kallen & 2 selections: "shenandoah" (never have i heard a more haunting and beautiful rendition of it)
& "the nightingale" (touching), possibly other gems, but after several choral numbers, at least as far as i could listen, i added it to my cart, just to get the two i mentioned.
