KAMCHATKA NEW CD “VOLUME III” IS RELEASED ON THE 4th of MARCH 2009!
"Volume III" is the third official studio album release and their first on Superpuma Records. The album is recorded and mixed by Tobias Strandvik and Kamchatka at Shrimpmonkey Studios and mastered by Johan Eckerblad at Mintelligence Studios.Cover artwork is done by Hippograffix.
This is the first album entierly produced by the band themself. It features 10 new original Kamchatka songs + bonus track “Whipping Post” wich was originaly written by Gregg Allman. There are mighty fine guests featuring on some of the tracks. PER WIBERG (Opeth, King Hobo, Mojobone, Death organ, Spiritual Beggars) is featured on 4 tracks (“Look over your shoulder”, ”See”, ”Sorg” and “Guess I’ll be leavin”) and JEAN PAUL GASTER (Clutch, Bakerton Group,King Hobo) plays additional drums on Kamchatkas version of Gregg Allmans “Whippingpost”.
"We played Whipping Post together with Jean Paul as the final number in our set when we opened for Clutch in the US 2008 so having him on the album version brings back lots of fine memories and smiles from that tour. Thank you, JP and Clutch." – Thomas Juneor Andersson

Another excellent piece of work. These guys just get better and better. It's so great to hear a no frills band with your basic trio setup cranking out one great song and album after another. I NEVER listen to the radio anymore having great music like this around.I hope these guys are around for a VERY long time. AWESOME!!!

Awesome album

This new album is awesome! It has that same Kamchatka feel that hooked me since I first heard it a year ago. The previous reviews do have a point that the eponymous album was better, but this album is worth every penny. Best song on the album in my opinion is "See."

Still awesome

Perhaps the sum of song writing on the first album exceeds this effort, but in the playing you can hear that this power trio have taking one more step closer to total unity. I love "Outnumbered", one of the best Kamchatka tracks ever!
