Deep in the midst of the Pacific Ocean, surrounded by the crashing waves of worldly currents protruding from the sea to touch the Heaven’s, lay the Mystical Islands of Hawai’i. It is here that the musical journey of the Kamehameha Projects begins.

Marinated within the culture of the Islands, the Projects bring a unique blend of Reggae, Soul and artistically innovative revolutionary hip hop to the music scene. Comprised of six individual styles that congregate to weave a canopy of sound unlike any other. The Kamehameha Projects surge over musical boundaries with the force of a Tsunami, thundering to break new ground.

Extreme diversity is the key element that pushes the projects to stand alone, in a world of trendy, over priced gangsta hip hop. Though new to the scene, this crew has been sharpening their lyrical swords for over a decade. Stemming from various musical backgrounds and locations around Hawai’i , these mixed culture local boys (with the help of a little destiny) found themselves side by side and mic by mic on any stage that would have them. Which in turn allowed them to open up for groups like the Living Legends, Gershwin BLX, PsychoKinetics, Souls of Mischief, L.A Symphony, ect, and to share the stage with such Emcees as J-Bless, Sea Sunz, Thai stik and more.

Of course it wasn’t long after their first independent album release that, the buzz created by their high energy, fist pumping performances, left the crowds electrified and chanting for more. The truth of awareness thru poetic expression whether positive or negative while heavily influenced by culture. That is the best way to describe the ever changing sound of the

this cd has some chilling lyrics that make you look inside at your own life..i think that everyone can relate to something inside this cd. i bought this cd in oahu (sp?) at a basketball tournament and i havent put it down yet..the beats are great and the lyrics even better..much love to KP this was the best investment ive made in a looong time and im very pleased " ]
