Strength to Carrion consists of four tracks of brutal technicality, visceral vocal delivery, intricate cymbal work and blast beats, immersing the listener into a dimension of hard-hitting death metal. "Jahbulon" and "Uprooted" are mortifyingly heavy, entering realms of choppy technicality that go unexplored by most bands in the genre. A more melodic side is revealed by "The Grinding Ice," which maintains the album's continuity of neck-breaking heaviness. The final track, "Mansion of Pigs," showcases oddly timed riffs and complex drumming performed at whirlwind speeds, concluding with a heaviness that leaves the listener devastated.
