notes
Christine Kane's fifth CD is titled "Right Outta Nowhere," but Christine is coming from anywhere but nowhere. In a career that has spanned ten years and thousands of miles on the road, Christine has released four CDs on her own record label, Firepink Music. With growing record sales and increasing national exposure, her label is now a thriving business with its own in-house publicist and booking agent.
Christine's last CD "Rain & Mud & Wild & Green" was named Best of 2003 (Folk category) by Borders Books & Music and was critically acclaimed by national and local press, from "The Washington Post" to "The Dallas Morning News." The raw mix of acoustic textures and rhythms, Christine's earthy and elegant voice and her poignant lyric purity all combined to provide a refreshingly real work of art that has given her a place among the most popular touring acts in the acoustic world. Produced by Ben Wisch, "Rain & Mud & Wild & Green" continues to be a sales success as more people discover Christine's music.
Her new release, "Right Outta Nowhere" promises to continue the upward momentum with a full national radio and press campaign and is already garnering high praise from within the music industry. Produced by Christine and Dave Pomeroy, and featuring some of Nashville's most prominent musicians, "Right Outta Nowhere" is a convergence of lyrical poetry, song craft, and acoustic perfection. Songs like "Overjoyed" and "The Good You Do" celebrate both the vulnerability and strength of the human spirit with haunting grace, while others like "Nowhere Left to Go" and "Whole Other World" (co-written with veteran hit songwriter Steve Seskin) leap effortlessly into the realm of mass market appeal. The end result is a testimony to an artist on the verge of deserved national recognition who comes seemingly "Right Outta Nowhere."

This is a career album. . .
author: StephenI like everything Christine has recorded but this album fulfils the potential promised by all her previous work. It's one of those recordings which rewards the listener more with each subsequent play. The performance and production are perfectly integrated (Dave Pomeroy is a producer who makes it clear that he understands his artist's vision perfectly). Christine is one of those artists who really matters. . . everything she does is worth buying but this one is a masterpiece.
a must listen
author: MollyThe best part about this CD, other than the beauty of the musicality, is that Christine really strives to help people through her music by offering encouragement- which is so refreshing admist a pop culture that tends to perpetuate negativity, anxst, and general feelings of inadequacy. Christine's music is gentle yet empowering. A must listen.
"Four legs good, two legs bad"- This albumn is GREAT!!
author: Coral A. JamesAll of these songs are great. I like the lyrics and the music. These are original songs, they are fresh and interesting. My favorite was FOUR LEGS GOOD, TWO LEGS BAD. This could be the theme song for all single women who have adopted (and kept) lots of stray cats and dogs. Four legs are always good!!!
warm and comfy
author: MarissaI love this album. I heard Falling in Love With the Wind on my local indie radio station and fell in love. So, when I saw it here I had to buy it. I have come to find I feel the same way about every track. Christines lyrics are simple and wise. The songs exude a warmth and comfort that lull you into a quiet place. It feels like being taught all the lessons of life in an hour. I'm obviously a new devotee. This cd is my best purchase of the year.
#3 is very much alive
author: Pieter from HollandHaving all three studio albums of Christine it's hard to say which is the best, the last is great, don't get me wrong, but the first was a surprise, this happy event last now three records long. So be surprised yourself and add Christine's records to your collection, for sure you won't regret it.
Audio Chicken Soup for the Head, the Ears, the Soul!
author: Slawman57"Right Outta Nowhere" continues the winning streak of 2002's "Rain&Mud&Wild&Green" with a new collection of stories that stay with you long after the CD ends. CK's voice continues to mature, speaking with a lovely combination of intimacy, nuance and emotion that pulls you in and leaves you reflective, replenished and refreshed. With top-notch (but wonderfully restrained) production, playing and arrangements that stay out of the way of the songs, this is one of the top 10 albums produced so far in 2004!
Eminent!!!
author: FelishaChristine's Right Outta Nowhere CD is another edition of the incredible journey of a sage; soft, witty, wise, inspirational, an exploration of the human condition. Through her CD's and live performances, she has a unique ability to touch the lives of others with the healing power of love, peace, and laughter. As with her previous CD's, Christine exposes her vulnerability with such incredible strength and tenacity, to follow her dreams and share with the world the music of her soul. I recommend this CD, and all her previous CD's, to anyone who is ready to appreciate beautiful art, bestowing abundant integrity and substance. Some stars just shine brighter than others......enthusiastically awaiting her next CD!
Total ear candy for me!
author: Doug WhiteMade of Steel & Overjoyed pushed the 4th star on this one. I can listen to those 2 over and over (I already have). Co-produced with Nashville Bass ledgend Dave Pomeroy (Suzy Boggus to Trisha Yearwood) Christine has nailed this 10 song gem. Careful if you buy this, your other cd's will get jealous!
