http://www.infernalmasquerade.com/?q=reviews/002040-malevolence-records-%E2%80%93-2012-european-tour-sampler-2012 Malevolence Records – 2012 European Tour Sampler (2012) Various Artists Posted April 1st, 2012 by Dark Emperor Album Reviews Symphonic Metal Thrash Metal 2012 Other In an action packed sampler, today we have Malevolence Records “2012 European Tour Sampler” featuring 4 different bands and two tracks each, a new one and an older one. With a nice spread of different musical genres (Thrash Metal and Melodic Death/Black Metal) this release is quite entertaining and shows promises for the upcoming releases of bands like KAOS and Septic Christ. Tracks one and five belong the American Thrash Metal act KAOS. Their brand of high-octane Thrash Metal was greatly received with their last release titled “Pits of Existence” from which “Let God Sort Them Out” comes from. The new track “Infernal Bleeding” continues where the band left off and delivers super guitar work and excellent drumming. The vocals are pretty standards and aggressive enough to keep fans of ‘more brutal’ genres interested. This track has a nice melodic edge to it and we can only hope their upcoming release “Validated in Blood” is as good as this song. Absentia from Spain provides us with songs two and six. We have earlier this year reviewed their latest release “Our Bleeding Sun” and this is where their first track comes from. With their perfect blend of Melodic Death/Black Metal, this band’s music is top notch. The track we haven’t heard from their “Heaven Still Burns” release from 2009 shows how the band’s sound has greatly matured since then, but makes up for a very engaging Melodic piece that has an old-school vibe. Pummeling through two excellent Thrash Metal tracks, Septic Christ delivers some of the best songs in this sample with “Yearning for Salvation” and “Wake Up”. This Germany Thrash has a very well-defined 80’s bay area sound as their riffing and song structures clearly show. The catchiness of “Yearning for Salvation” is very effective and made us write down the band’s name to look for their upcoming album in the future. “Wake Up” delivers a more straight-forward approach with high similarities to bands like Kreator and Death Angel, but with a little bit less punch than their first song. The last two tracks belong to T.C.F, a band from the Netherlands that plays a hybrid of Thrash Metal with some Hardcore elements. Their two tracks are the shortest ones of this release and quite frankly not to our full liking. “An Eye For an Eye” has that punk-ish edge that some people might enjoy, but for us is just not engaging enough. The even shorter “Core 88” has more meat on the guitar work, and sounds bit more like old-school Thrash metal, making it out of their two songs our ‘favorite’ one. As this sampler indicates, the band’s playing at Metal Over Oostrozebeke festival on July 7th, 2012 will provide a great show due to their musical abilities. This sampler also gives you a nice insight into 4 bands that are making some nice music and should be heard. If you are a fan of Thrash Metal, this release should be of your interest since more than half of the tracks are pretty good for this genre standards. A.A.V.V. - Malevolence Records - Metal Over Oostrozebeke

The Malevolence Records is a small label that is step by step creandosi the roster, with this release-sampler, which contains eight pieces, two for each team within your reality, presents a view of the European tour that will involve. The tracklist reveals that the names are almost all known to listen to those who follow Aristocracy from the beginning, opening with "Internal Bleeding" thrash violently and adorned with traits "core" of the old school veterans KAOS. The trace output as a single and forerunner of the new ep "Validated In Blood" confirms the effectiveness of the proposal on the combo, heavy and massive, it is added to "Let God Sort Them Out" extracted from the preceding chapter, the full-length "The Pits Of Existence". Second in order of appearance is the sound of black / symphonic Spaniards Absentia, first with "If Only I" belongs to the latest release, "Our Bleeding Sun", also included in our database, and subsequently around the longest, "A Kiss From Hellheaven "dating back to the debut of "Heaven Still Burns". The difference between the two is clear, with the latter very immature especially from the point of view of production. We return to thrash with the Teutonic Septic Christ of "Yearning For Salvation", the sound begins softly and caressingly driven by a single melodic trickery, the departure rate is around the corner and the roots of the sound-Exodus Anthrax They come out disruptive. The piece is part of the new album "Guilty As We Were Born" and "Wake Up" is one of the tow tracks from the first album "Infected Existence" to which the undersigned is particularly fond of because it was one of the first online reviews submitted by the Aristocracy, 2009. Rounding out the games T.C.F. (Thrash Core Fanatics), which is clearly explanatory monicker on the choices of sound and the direction taken by the formation of the songwriting, the Dutch arrived ear with "An Eye For An Eye" extrapolated from "Where Madness Reigns", the debut of 2011, and "Core'88" ep including the 2009 "Speed Or Bleed". Nothing new but definitely geared to meet the demand of those living pleasantly "trapped" in the eighties. "Over Oostrozebeke Metal" is a showcase of what the show will reserve its Belgian participants and this release is ultimately just a taste, an invitation to try, if not already knew, the bands will alternate on that stage . Around so the ball to you dear readers, and perhaps you become part of your audience

“Fast-forward to 2010 and we get the band’s latest offering with “The Pits Of Existence”, an album that clearly captures the old-school feeling and it’s marked to push Kaos into the spot light. If Exodus and Forbidden do not deliver with their albums coming out later this year, we will have a winner for the best Trash album of 2010 with “The Pits Of Existence”. On a final note, we definetly recommend you get “The Pits Of Existence” since it will surely be one of the top 10 Trash Metal releases of 2010. The band has finally managed to release a great album, paired with the perfect timing of the Trash resurrection of the last few yeas, there is no saying how far this band will go.” Dark Emperor - InfernalMasquerade.com

KAOS - http://terriblecertaintyzine.com/2012/12/03/kaos-kaos-among-us/ Kaos – Kaos Among Us DEC 3 Posted by Terrible Certainty Zine Terrible Certainty focuses its energies on the new stuff, but after my review of T.C.F.’s thrashtastic dark horse Where Madness Reigns,Malevolence Records sent me a fat stack of promos, so I figured the least I could do is give a couple a spin and spout off. So here’s a quick take onKaos Among Us, the second effort from California brawlers Kaos. It was spawned in 2003 and was reissued by Malevolence in 2012. Kaos are cousins to T.C.F. in that they deal out good old fashioned red-blooded crossover thrash. But they’re very different animals. T.C.F.offer up a classic crossover style in legacy of Nuclear Assault, S.O.D.,D.R.I. and the like. Kaos play a style rooted in 80’s thrash but executed with a pronounced contemporary voice, much like how Lamb of Godfused a modern fingerprint onto its thrash. Kaos sport a very lean, crisp sound, and I was honestly surprised to see two guitarists in the lineup as I could easily see this as a lean and mean three-piece. The good majority of Kaos Among Us is a midtempo, moshing hardcore stomp, with the occasional wrist-locked blitz for variety. Homage toSlayer and Death Angel are on display, but the vintage thrash ethos is largely undone by the shriek of the hardcore vocals. Exhibit A is the climax to “God as My Witness,” when the guitarists are busy laying down some seriously Slayer worshipping tight, circular riffs which are then then piled on by some vein-busting all-in piercing howls of the vocals. And I think that’s where listeners will divide into two camps. One rushing to the front of the stage, fists pumping, heads banging, and another that meanders to the back of the bar for another drink. In all, this is not my favorite flavor of crossover, but these guys do execute and Kaos Among Us is a respectable offering. From what I gather the band seems to have stretched its legs on its favorably received follow up, Pits of Existence. KAOS http://users.telenet.be/metaltoinfinity/KaoscdreviewThepitsofexistence.htm KAOS - THE PITS OF EXISTENCE INDEPENDENT Metal To Infinity For all those hooked on the furious thrashing Metal forces from the Bay Area part of San Francisco, please take something to write and make notice of a band called Kaos! A few years ago, I had the opportunity to spread the word of their previously released and sophomore effort entitled “Kaos Among Us” – a restless and wild way of US Thrash Metal that barely broke my bones… real good output it was but meanwhile, Kaos has released their new album “The Pits Of Existence” and better believe you’ve gotta be very strong to survive this way power and aggression. Just like “Kaos Among Us”, also the new album “The Pits Of Existence” is available as awesome looking digipack – still active as an unsigned underground Metal band but it seems like they don’t care about that. Kaos gets my full attention, support and dignity due to they’ve written all the songs, recorded, arranged and produced “The Pits Of Existence” all by themselves. With or without a record deal, Kaos just move on like a silver bullet from a loaded gun, fast forward with no turning back. I’d like to say that the new CD is a killer album with a killer production! The albums starts with the intro ‘Enter Insanity’ – they build up the power one step at the time until its time for the real deal, actually the second blow entitled ‘Bled Some More’. Damn, what a great song – fast guitar rhythms with aggressive vocals and awesome drum parts reminiscent to Slayer’s Dave Lombardo what means a lot. Kaos’ drummer really hits fast, hard and has a great timing within its might – excellent and fully loaded with outstanding drum skills ripping all thrashing ears to shreds! Next is the title track, not that fast as previous track but still brilliant. Somewhere in between Sacrifice and Slayer and I don’t want to forget to tell that the new album has also plenty of great guitar%
