Chicago's Kaos Rising has been a force in the metal underground for
five years. The group has produced a loyal fan base through countless
live performances and self promotion. The band formed in December
1999.From there they recorded a five song demo entitled "Wiped Away".
The demo received rave reviews and attracted metal fans to the band.
Countless live shows and regional touring landed the group with a record
deal with California's Jet Speed Records. Under a label now the band
focused on a full length release. In winter of 2001 Kaos recorded their
debutalbum entitled "Welcome to The Violence"; 10 songs of pure range
and energy was the result.
The album was released in the spring of 2002 to the metal public.
Many well know magazines gave the band great reviews (Metal
Maniacs,Pit, and BWBK). Kaos began touring that summer. Landing
them a showat theMilwaukee Metal Fest. A high energy performance in
Milwaukee landedthe groupa slot at New Jersey Metal Meltdown 2003.
Relentless touring in 2004 andunbelieve live shows gave them a credble
reputation.Concert promoters were soon booking the band with nationals
actssuch as Lamb Of God, Fear Factory, Shadows Fall, Hatebreed,
Superjoint Ritualand Dying Fetus exposing them to bigger crowds.
Multipledates with Six FeetUnder and Dope were also very successful.
2004 was topped off by a appearance atPigstock 10 a festival in
Davenport, IA which theband dominated the the massivecrowd of 6,000.
After the busy 2004 year of touring the band went into the studio with
Brian Griffin (Soil, Meshuggah,Hammerfall) to record the new
album"ColdYears ToCome" with the newalbum came a new record
label, signing with Break The Surface Music.
Kaos Rising is Scot- Guitar, Casey- Vocals, Matt- Drums,
and Justin- Bass. These four dedicated members will release their
second full length album in the spring of 2005. "Cold Years To Come"
will prove the bands originality and showcase the raw energy. Kaos will
stick to what works and continue to increase the already worldwide
