KAREN A. CLARK – PROFILE

A Corporate Affair marks the long awaited debut CD for Karen A. Clark, though she is no stranger to the entertainment world. Karen has been writing, performing, and producing on world stages for many years, including music, theatre and dance in the United States, Europe, Africa and Canada.

A Corporate Affair, Big C aka Finley Clark III executive producer, original music by Emile, is akin to Sade meeting Jill Scott. The CD is mellow mix of “Grown Folks Music” inclusive of sexy spoken word, and thought-provoking ballads laid to jazzy tracks. Of the 12 tracks, Karen A. wrote ten of them and then covered Donny Hathaway’s “Someday We’ll All Be Free” and Edwin Hawkins’ “This Day”. Her signature cut, “I am in Love all Over” has become a favorite of spoken word lovers.

On the business of music side, Karen is a corporate professional within the financial services industry and that business acumen has been translated and transferred over the years to many venues in which she has produced shows, records and other ventures for several artists.
