Singer/songwriter Karen Cross Newsum learned to play the guitar in high school and started her journey as a songwriter, writing about life from a Christian perspective. In the following years she married Sam and focused on raising their two children. A few years ago her passion for singing and songwriting was reignited and she has gone on to produce two CD projects. The first one is entitled “30 Years in the City” and the most recent is called “Garden of Faith”. Karen’s list of singing engagements have included coffee shops, festivals, churches, restaurants, assisted living homes, corporate events, and outdoor concerts. “Life is a song that can be written in any genre, with a heartbeat of its own. The words come as you perceive it.”
