Bio of Karen Wiggins

"Sing forth the honor of His name; make His praise Glorious." Psalm 66:2

One of Karen's greatest joys is to enter into the presence of God thru Praise and Worship. She loves studying God's Word, singing His praises and teaching His Word. Karen is the wife of Assistant Pastor Jeff Wiggins and the mother of a teenage daughter, Karon Wiggins. They are all members of Temple Missionary Baptist Church in San Bernardino, CA, where Pastor Raymond Turner is the Senior Pastor.

Karen's desire is to please the Lord by serving Him. She currently serves as the Minister of Music at Temple Missionary Baptist Church, and Ministry Facilitator of the Temple Community Outreach Center. She has also served as the Temple MBC Ministers Wives Coordinator.

Karen has received training thru the American Association for Christian Counseling, and the Basic Life Training Institution, and Precept Ministries. Karen's greatest training however, is a result of being a diligent student of the Word of God.

In Addition to Karen being a very gifted Psalmist for the Lord, she is a praying and well traveled Missionary. God has opened doors for Karen to travel to Israel, Jamaica, Ghana, West Africa, Mexico, and throughout the United States. In her travels, Karen has not only led Praise & Worship, but also coordinated and taught Praise & Worship seminars. Recently she has been invited to Prague, Czech Republic, to conduct a Praise & Worship workshop and concert as the featured solo artist. She has also had the privilege of being an understudy of Dr. Margaret Pleasant-Douroux and was featured as a solo artist at her Heritage Gospel Music Foundation Conference. She sang background with the legendary Pastor Shirley Caesar, recording artist Alvin Slaughter and other local and national artist. She has also performed special music before conference speakers such as Paula White, Darlene Bishop and others. Karen currently hosts a local televised gospel video show "The Original Gospel Time." This show airs once a week on KCSB channel 3.

Karen is a much sought after solo artist, conference speaker, and Bible teacher. In 2003 Karen recorded live in Ghana West Africa with Diana Akiwumi. Recently she released a new CD entitled "Lifting Him Up", a project produced by Jason White for White Throne Productions. This newly released CD is considered by many to be an excellent offering of Praise, Worship and Exhortation.

Because it is Karen's sincere desire to "Lift Jesus Up," she and her husband, Pastor Jeff Wiggins formed a nonprofit organization entitled, Wiggins Gospel Message International. The purpose or this organization is to spread the Gospel and advance the Kingdom of our Savior, thru Biblical teaching and music that will truly Lift The Savior Up.
