Incredible!

This is an incredible collection of songs. Masterfully arranged and composed, each song is true to classical form. Most striking is the how they have not only mastered timeless, classical pieces, but they have also arranged original pieces with the distinct flavor of the Philippines. And finally, you will hear not one, but two guitars that have ten strings on them. Indeed, my collection of classical guitar music was incomplete without this CD. You must have this - it is simply incredible!

Eclectic, refreshing, evocative!

KGQ makes these eclectic selections--from Baroque to Philipine folk music--sound as if they were conceived for guitar quartet. And the added range of the two 10-string guitars provides a refreshing splash. I'm especially fond of Amianan (written by KGQ member Perf de Castro): a musical journey that makes use of "non-traditional" guitar technique to evoke the sounds of the northern Philipines. I like the CD so much that I bought copies to share!

32 strings, 4 players, and they work as if they are one instrument. This cd is a must for all who listen to classical guitar. Well Done!!!
