Album Notes
Kate Bass is originally from Alaska. She studied classical music at conservatory in New York City, performed in venues including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, until she found herself singing jazz in a seedy restaurant in Times Square. Now she is releasing her first album of original songs, "Maya," inspired by a Walt Whitman poem, as well as singers like Fiona Apple, Ella Fitzgerald, Joni Mitchell, Joao Gilberto, Camille, and more.
