Album Notes

Singer/songwriter Kate Brown began performing in the Seattle folk scene in May of 2000. She got off to a great start playing at Seattle's Mae West Festival that same summer. Armed with a guitar and what the Seattle P-I calls "...a hard driving and robust vocal style...," Kate left Seattle and relocated to the east coast.

Since moving to the east coast, Kate has been bringing her aggressive folk music to bars, coffee shops and festivals all over the Baltimore and D.C. area. Kate has been a regular performer on Damian's Diner at WRNR 103.1 in Annapolis as well as a featured artist on Frederick's channel 10 TV show, Backstage Pass. In 2004, Kate was honored to open for nationally acclaimed singer/songwriter, Cheryl Wheeler.

A native Iowan, Kate's songs reflect her small town Midwest roots, as well as her adventurous spirit. Influenced by a background in musical theatre, Kate's performances always bring a passionate and engaging presence to the stage. The Frederrick Gazette described Kate as having "...a captivating presence that keeps all eyes on her", which is why she continues to gather fans every time she performs.

Currently, Kate has once again relocated and now lives in Chicago where she is pursuing an acting career.
