Lullabies for Grownups - Clouds is slightly longer than an hour and designed so that each song leads gently to the next and the last song leads back into the first. This album was composed in the spring of 2008 in beautiful Bozeman, Montana on a Regent baby grand piano in my studio, with the transcendent inspiration of the constantly changing clouds in our Montana sky. Recorded on a Yamaha C-6, 6’11” Concert Grand, at Peak Recording and Sound, under the artful and patient listening ears of Gil Stober, who found the music so soothing that he did fall asleep at least once.
I highly recommend purchasing a CD (or several), the piano sounds fantastic! I am currently creating two more Lullabies for Grownups albums. Please, take a look at Lullabies for Grownups ~ Stars and Lullabies for Grownups ~ The Moon.

This is what listeners are saying about Lullabies for Grownups - Clouds
"I love this music. I love the way it feels, the moods it evokes. It makes me stop and remember that I'm living.
I don't know if anyone unfamiliar with its source would get this, but to me it's infused with the tranquility of life beneath the big sky. It has that feeling of space and the security that comes from knowing you've got time and room to breathe.
As gentle and delicate as this album is, I want to crank it up loud on a summer's drive across Montana. Maybe catch a red-tailed hawk or an eagle dancing in the sky as it plays.
Kate Kohler's music makes me feel the way I wish I could feel all the time - peaceful and centered, like I have time to stop and look up and stop worrying about the million stupid things that constantly distract me from the beautiful magic inherent in being here right now.
This CD is a rare thing indeed, a collection of instrumental piano music that is gorgeous without being precious. It feels like it came from an actual human heart, instead of some bland new age Pez dispenser of moody sounds.
Kate's Lullabies for Grownups gives the troubled spirit rest, and doesn't just put you to sleep."
--Greg Owens, Writer/Performer
"Lovely--simply lovely. Kate's music lulls you into a state of comfortable relaxation. She has authored an experience for the listener to hear her story or for the listener to weave their own. It reminds me of the summer days of my childhood--lying on my back gazing at the clouds--letting my mind and spirit wander. A delicious reminder for each of us to simplify and relax. Enjoy!"
-- Mary M. Bertagnolli, Licensed Acupuncturist
"Kate Kohler's piano compositions are the perfect authentic recipe to induct one into deep transformative relaxation, whether on the massage table or taking savasana. They assist in opening up the wing of the deep to travel deep within the self."
--Rabia Bellante, Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructor
"Clouds by Kate Kohler is a musical meditation. It is perfect when I do Yoga or when I just need a quieting presence in my home. Each piece is unique and connected with a natural flow and resonance. The music feelslike it’s own therapy. I continue to find moments where it gently blends into the soundtrack of my life."
- John Hosking, Actor/Artistic Director Vigilante Theatre Co.

One cloud on a cloudless day
author: KJON99FM
Light and airy, well, like a cloud, Kate does a remarkable job in exploring the different types of clouds - from transparent noctilucents to billowy cumulonimbus - with deftness and an ever slight breezy touch on the piano keys. Very enjoyable.
