Album Notes

The songs of the newly compiled album "She Waits," span more than 10 years of composing and living. Beginning in the early 1990s with the song "It Wasn't Real" (which was incidently based upon a recurring dream Kate had since she was 10 years old and originally released on the 1995 EP "Baby Blue") and emerging in the fully orchestrated "Harbinger" (the opening piece of a lengthy symphony entitled "Threnody for Earth"), each piece represents an intimate moment in Kate's relational, social, and emotional life. Her work has long been applauded as giving voice to the voiceless in her direct disclosures of her own experiences with rape and abuse, as well as her emotionally charged songs combatting social apathy. Known for her depth of caring for those she loves--and those she has lost--her musical work continuously strives to express authenticity, rawness, and passion.
