notes

"INTO MIDNIGHT"

A little soft -n- subtle steppin' treasure, this "Fabulous Collection", for you and your someones' evenings' listening pleasure.

INTO MIDNIGHT
As a kid my brothers and I got a kick out of playing (or destroying) my mothers old 45's. The more amusin' the more abusin'. We got a special thrill out of Les Pauls' "Walkin' and Whislin' Blues" ... fond memories clompin' along with our shoes. This melody and that song stream simultaneously in my head resulting "Into Midnight". Thank You Les Paul for walkin' into the world and settin' your groove. What a Fabulous Connection! - K -

Les Paul (walkin' in), Rich Betancourt (guitars), Jay Sweet (upright), Mark Griffith (Drums) Kate Vereau (vocals), Max Caselnova (engineer), Kate Vereau (composer)

After all the ups are down
And all the do's are done
I want you to meet me after hours
And we'll make our little run
Come on and meet me baby
After the lights go down low
Why don't you meet me after hours
And then we'll take it nice -n- slow...

AFTER MIDNIGHT
A smooth -n- jazzy extended version of the JJ Cale classic popularized by "Eric the Great"

I'D HAVE YOU ANYTIME
A haunting statement of heart...

I have carried this beautiful sentiment of George Harrison, in my heart since the moment I heard his haunting guitar intro and opening plea. This track was originally recorded with a full rhythm section but due to unexpected problems, it had to be re-recorded. Rich Betancourt rescued the song by playing all the instruments the following session (which wasn't what he thought he was comming in for ) THANK YOU RB! -K-

Rich Betancourt (rhythm section) Kate Vereau (vocals), Max Caselnova (engineer), George Harrison & Bob Dylan (composers)

EVERY NIGHT
Anticipating a fabulous night. Composed by a fabulous knight.

Anthony LaBarbera (wah guitar), Jeff Gaynor (keyboard), Bill Korinek (bass), Eddy Faust (drums), Gary Metler (harmonica), Kate Vereau (vocals), Max Caselnova (engineer), Paul McCartney (composer), Kate Vereau (add'l lyrics)

Damn U...You're so fine
Seems to happen to me each and every time we make love
I can't hold back,
It's like having a hundred million little heart attacks
Damn U... Baby you're so fine

SLEEP SONG

Peter Theodor (guitar), Susan Blank (cello), Kate Vereau (vocals), Max Caselnova (engineer), Graham Nash (composer)

When you were asleep, I was kissing your forehead
You made a frown, so I kissed it again
You started waking and put your arms 'round my waist
Just making sure I was there
Then you drifted away
Then you drifted away

LEARNING HOW TO LOVE YOU

Once in a while, in a big blue moon

This disk is simply awesome. She seeks out old lost and forgotten songs, polishes them up and makes them shine. It is done very tastefully and in most cases she does the song better then the initial artist did.
