PRESS RELEASE
Nothing Is Impossible if you believe…………
These are the words that drive the passion, and life of Canadian born European artist Katherine Filippeos. Her new album is an eclectic mix of vocal pieces, and guitar instrumentals, which exhibit her talent, multiculturalism as well as her versatility. Expect to hear a unique blend of layered tracks performed solely by the artist, ultimately claiming originality. Once again, Katherine is destined to capture plenty of attention with this captivating debut.
An industry veteran, Katherine recently launched her own record label “Viva Records” to support her upcoming release available on www.katherinefilippeos.com, online downloads available on CD Baby. This new beginning marks a landmark in Filippeos’ career as Producer, Executive Producer and Artist.
“Nothing Is Impossible” includes a mixture of 12 tracks which include 8 Vocal Pieces and 4 Guitar Instrumentals. It is a rare a composite of self-written material as well as original arrangements of covers that have deeply inspired her metamorphosis as an artist and writer. Her love of Spanish Culture prompted both gracious and rambunctious renditions of the famous “Concierto de Aranjuez” by Rodrigo and “Gracias a la Vida” (Thank you for Life) by the late Violeta Parra. You will also hear the inevitable flare of her Greek influence in “To Kyma” (The Wave), which tells a heart wrenching love story.
Finally her Canadian roots drive a fabulous amalgamation of acoustic flavor and flamenco inspired guitar technique, with songs like “No Pain No Glory” a tribute to conquering adversity, and lead off track “Extraordinary” which at last describes the positive beauty that encompasses the entire album.
