ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kathryn Bostic’s new self produced CD “From Me to You” is an effortless blend of old school blues and jazz influences mixed with her own “new school” flavors of a unique and innovative voice. A two year journey that has had many starts and stops has now finally come to fruition.

As a singer-songwriter, Kathryn has been playing piano and writing her own music since she was 3. “I grew up listening to everything! Classical, R&B, rock, folk, jazz, Brazilian. I’d come home and hear a wide variety of music, from artists like Milton Nascimento, Herbie Hanncock, and Miles Davis. I was also really into vocalists like Sarah Vaughan, Aretha Franklin, Muddy Waters, Joni Mitchell and Eva Cassidy.

"In producing my CD I have had the good fortune of having close friends play on my songs who also happen to be some of the greatest musicians in the world as far as I’m concerned. I am deeply appreciative for their huge talent and support on this. With my friend Bryan Zee engineer and mixer extraordinaire, the end result has been wonderful. All these incredible players have taken the time and energy to help me get these songs done so I can hear them for real and not just in my head. Magical and amazing talent. I could not have done any of this without them.”
