Biography
Kathryn was born in San Jose, CA. Her family moved to Reno, NV the next year where she has lived since.
At the age of eight she started taking piano lessons from Louis Ronchetti who had also taught her father and uncle when they were young. He was a wonderful man who taught with much enthusiasm and great intensity. She took lessons from him until she graduated from high school. Kathryn received a scholarship from the University of Nevada, Reno and graduated from there with a degree in music.
When she turned fifteen, Kathryn started teaching piano lessons after school in her home and she continues to have a full schedule of students. She teaches music at a private school in Reno to grades K-12 and has developed a very involved music program there. Her students have won numerous awards both regionally and nationally. Kathryn has also been listed numerous times in “Who’s Who” national publication.
Kathryn was raised in a Christian home and has always been actively involved in church. At the age of 12 she started playing for church services and has since taught many students who have gone on to become great church pianists. She plays for many events both locally and regionally and encourages her students to be active musicians. Her man purpose in teaching is to help students develop their musical talents so they can use them to serve the Lord.
She has been blessed with a wonderful husband, Ken, and they have two sons. Together they worship at The Church at Reno.

Traditional & original
author: Jon Loder
Being familiar with this pianist, I expected another excellent performance. What I didn't expect was the originality that this album offers. Twelve tried and true traditional gospel songs have been resurected with a freshness that gives the listener the pleasure of hearing them for the first time. The recording is top-notch with musicians that remain tight from beginning to end. You can't go wrong with this album.... if you like music.
