Album Notes

Hello, I'm Kathryn Scheldt. My newest CD , "In the Middle of It All." is an Americana collection, from jazzy Gershwin standards to original country, folk, blues and torch songs with a southern flavor, featuring some of Nashville's finest instrumentalists . Just to give you a little background..I come from a family of musicians and grew up singing and writing songs. With a Masters of Music in guitar and voice, I have published 2 books with Mel Bay Publications, Inc. including the "The Guitar Songbook for Music Therapy." My performance background varies from rock bands to the concert stages in Europe and the USA. I received a grant to study guitar with Grammy winning guitarist, David Russell. While living in Rome, I sang with jazz legend, Tony Scott. I live on the Gulf Coast of Alabama where I am soloist at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Mobile and a member of Bella Voce, Mobile's premier women's chorus. For more information about me and my music please checkout my website at www.shellkatenterprisesllc.com. Enjoy the music!

This album is excellent. This is a great testament to the Americana genera. Kathryn's voice spreads like eagles wings into a great vast sound scape that is nothing but pleasure to the listeners ears. Her voice is very natural giving you a raw and intimate look at what she actually felt when recording this album. five stars. bravo.
