"From the warm chamber pop of 'Brilliant Beginner' to the melodic folk rock of 'Never Seen Ohio,' Kathy Swezy's original music is a pure pleasure for those who like their adult alternative with ample intelligence, and sealed with a kick. The listener is sure to hear sounds and textures that recall Over the Rhine, Innocence Mission and Julie Miller, but the sound is pure Swezy—a reflection of her tenure as leader of Paste magazine favorites, the Blue Lit Souls. Highly recommended!"

After shifting her focus from performing to motherhood and a move West, Kathryn Swezy is back with a eclectic 6-song EP entitled "Little Seasons." Collaborating with long-time friend and fellow musician Randy Kerkman as producer of the album, Swezy's lyrics touch on loss and mid-life crisis as well as the bittersweet flavors of faith, hope, and redemption. Shifting from the ethereal feel of her former band, Blue Lit Souls, the new album drives a bit harder while featuring mandolin, tin whistle, accordion, and trumpet in the instrumental mix.
