Album Notes

Covenant is Kathy Joy Bell’s third project since releasing her first project in 2003. This project, which incorporates both self-penned songs and co-written songs with producer, Robert Jason, reveals a continued and consistent musical development. Indeed, Kathy has continued to grow both as a vocalist and as a writer. Kathy grew up in a small Kentucky town, singing and playing music in church at an early age. She studied piano for many years, pausing to pursue a career in the field of mental health counseling. She received a BA in Psychology from the University of Kentucky and a Masters in Counseling from Western Seminary. Her seminary studies and counseling experience have greatly informed her songwriting style. The result has been songs of encouragement, hope, deliverance, and honest reflections on faith and life.
