Many of these songs and chants have been born, as in my "No Separation" CD, inside the circle gathering experiences. As time goes on, it seems like the songs just come to me while I sit in a quiet gathering place with others. For me, the drum calls in a universal world beat. These songs are simple and call out for people to join in singing. I love a spontaneous choir!! Then the arrangements of Kent Allyn, expand the song far beyond just rhythm and voice. The Buddha type face on the cover comes from another passionate past time of mine; taking pictures of earth's reflection in water. Turn the left side of the cover photo to the to the top and you'll see how I first saw this image. I call these "PetreflectionsTM." It's a merging of the words petroglyph and reflection. When I see these images, I hear the drum and there's a resonance that pulls me closer to the earth. The photos have helped me to write my songs from a deeper place. I have merged the photos with my music and created a performance art production entited, "PetreflectionsTM Live." The creatures found through reflection come alive with masks and costumes, song, dance, and wisdom from the earth. Many of my songs from this CD and "No Separation" are in the show. Music For the Heart and Soul
author: BruceThis cd has quickly become a favorite. The spiritual lyrics, rhythmic drumming, light instrumentation, and beautiful vocals all work together to make this cd a joy and blessing. It quickly invites us back to a place of centering and peace. The same can be said of Kathy's cd NO SEPARATION which my wife and I also own.
