ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I've been working in children's music for 15 years. This is the 3rd recording I've done for a young audience. The first two recordings are on cassette only. They are, "The Rhythm of Nature," and "When I Grow Up." These songs are pleasing for ages three to ninety three. When I was a senior in highschool in the sixties, Kent Allyn (the magic musician on all my CD's) and I would come home from school to watch Sesame Street on TV. The music on that show was primarily jazz. This was so progressive for a children's program at that time. Kent went on to be more of a "jazzer" than I, but when he arranges my material, the jazzy influence transforms the music. In all of my children's music, I make an effort to make the recording satisfying for the adult listeners, as well as for the little ears. I sing about nature a lot because I feel it's important to connect children with our natural world as much as we can, and in any way possible. It's my own little effort to preseve the planet; by inspiring the next generation through music and natural wonder.
